Reader Ride! Triumph Trophy 250 from Portland, OR

UPDATE:   Contact info is: Andrew Wilson

andruu4@hotmail.com

I'll leave it up for a week or so.

Andrew Writes in:

Hello Steve,
Just wanted to share some pictures of what was my daily rider this season. It is a back to bone stock 1970 Triumph Trophy 250. Matching numbers with the original paint on the tank. It is actually for sale if you could maybe post it to try to help me out. The wife and I are relocating cross country soon and she said I have to pick one motorcycle to go... darn.
Great site!
Thanks
Andrew

I don't do a lot of "for sale" post but this is one of my favorites.  Wish I could buy it myself.

Reaader Ride with "Bonus Triumph Pics.

Aaron sent me a nice silhouette shot of his stable the other day along with a link to his flickr stream.  While perusing his photos I stumbled across this stunner of a custom Triumph Scrambler.  WOW!  Aaron I hope you don't mind (and if you do I'll pull them immediately) but I'm a huge Triumph fan and couldn't pass these up.

By the way your original submital is excellent and included below. I'd love to see more angles of the Duck and especially Beemer.

Thanks Very Much

Aarons original note:
Hey!
I got a bit inspired on Sunday and had some fun with my DSLR and Photoshop; I ended up with what I think is a very good photo of my two bikes ('75 BMW R75/6 and '06 Ducati Multistrada 1000s) that you and your readers might like. The original is attached, and other sizes are at my flicker acct (under a Creative Commons license, so feel free to use what you like), here:
Cheers!
---Aaron

Here's the shanghaied Triumph...

One more "Jack Pine Special"

Thanks to our official MPOTD roving reporter Mike Skelton for the find. I love that this pic shows that the bike is ridden for it's intended purpose and not just a show queen. I bet it''s a decent handler to boot. Hey Triumph how about a stripped down version for the general public! I imagine it's be a bit more practical with the sidepipe but I still like the dualies.

The Triumph Scrambler "Jack Pine Special"..

I haven't had time to check so this may be a re-post and if so I apologize.  I keep coming across this bike on the web and I keep coming back to oogle it.  It may push me over the top to just buy a darn scrambler and get on with it. God she's a beauty...

Reader Ride. Yet another Stunning Triunph Scrambler.

Thanks to reader Piet Vauterin of Belgium for this excellent bike. One of these days I going to HAVE to get one of these. I spend enough time staring at them I might as well buy one.  Of course by that logic I'd also have to own a few Guzzi's, Vincents, Ducati's etc etc... but I could live with that. LOL

Reader ride. Fantistic scrambler done up as an old school "desert racer" from Italy.

I recieved these pics and a message all in Italian. I ran it through 3 different translation programs and sorted it out the best I could. It reads as follows:

Hello, I am Italian and my name is Carl,
I have built my bonnie in the style of an early desert racer which I have always admired. In 51 years, I have owned and admired many bikes including the ducati scrambler 350 and yamaha xt 500. I wish I had never sold them but I was young and had little money.

The changes are entirely handmade, the work of a friend and I in choice of details.. Exhaust, seat, handle-bar, headlight carried all the way to the stripped bodywork, I adore the bare metal.
Thank you for your site, great job for us fans
I'm sorry I do not write so well in english.

Here is the original message,  If someone is fluent in Italian and can assist with the translation it would be VERY much appreciated.  I'd like to learn everything I can about htis beautiful creation and pass it along here.  I'm pretty sure some key information was "lost in the translation" so to speak.  Thanks.

Original message cleaned up a little  as follows:
Ogg: foto triumph desert sled ceva

Outstandind Royal Enfield Scrambler build. A fresh chapter of the Sam Simons Chronicles!!

Sam has built so shared so many interesting bikes with me that he has his own search term over in the cloud.  do yourself a favor and check out some of his other excellent builds.  His 2-stroke bikes are legendary.  you can see more of his stuff over on my 2 Stoke Biker Blog.  I havn't heard from him in a while and I fugured he'd been up to something special and as usual he doesn't disappoint.

Sam writes in:

Hello Steve,
Been a while, huh. Well, although I've been involved with several non-motorcycle related activities,I did manage to finish the RE500(just yesterday!!).The basis for this 60's theme street scrambler was a new, dealer leftover '07 Bullet my wife located in Ohio late in '08. I bought it for the sole purpose of doing just such a bike, which made for a really odd feeling when I purchased a new machine that: 1) I

So,I hope you enjoy the pics,Steve.
